Alaskan Adventure

Back in June we took an Alaskan cruise and had a few days in Seattle. It was great to spend time with family and Alaska, as expected, was beautiful. We were worried we'd be cold and wet from rain, but we had great weather the entire time and the temperatures were a nice respite from the Baltimore summers. Here are some pictures, and more to come soon.

Gorgeous photos! What lenses did you take with you for your trip?

Heidi - I took my canon 17-40 f/4, and my canon 70-200 f/4. It's my lightweight travel rig. :-)

I definitely need to expand my lineup past 70mm :( I've rented the Canon 70-200mm f/4L and 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6 DO before and I can't make up my mind between the two. The 70-200mm was fantastic, but that extra length on the 300mm was awesome. Plus the DO collapses so it takes up much less space in bag.

Hi Corey,

I really enjoyed reading through your blog posts on http://baltimorerowhouse.blogspot.com/. I got a real sense of enthusiasm and passion in each post. Actually, I run Metalhandyman.com, a blog about metalcraft and DIY home improvement projects. If you’re interested, I would love to have you on as a guest blogger. Just shoot me quick a e-mail and we can begin this potentially exciting affiliation together. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Bob

I need your help. Lovely house by the way. I was born in Towson and my folks are from Baltimore as are their folks and so on. We now live in Atlanta. I've been hunting for architectual drawings or blue prints of Baltimore row homes for sometime now. Would you have any leads? I've contacted a couple of art house and have not heard back from the Historical Society.I know it's a long shot, thought I'd try. Seatlle's a cool town isn't it? Beaautiful reno, nice job

Mike T - I don't know, but I posted your question on the "baltimore's new old house forum" Facebook page. Add that page to your Facebook groups and hopefully someone there can point you in the right direction.
