Lounging Around

The Queen and I talked about the backyard and what kind of furniture we should get. Since most stores haven't come out with this year's line we are eagerly awaiting their unveiling. With that in mind, we are leaning toward a backyard lounge and away from a large table. I can imagine something like this.

It is all from cb2. While I like it, the costs would be at least $1500 for the chairs and cushions. That's not happening. Hopefully ikea has something similar to this or their arholma line (below) that is a bit more budget friendly.

We have that set from Ikea! We got it last year and LOVE it. Totally loungy and exactly what we were looking for for our new backyard/deck. We have a the pieces forming and "L" with an ottoman in the center and we only purchased the bottom cushions. The back cushions looked whimpy so we just bought some outdoor throw pillows to use that give us some color. Everyone thinks we got the set from Pottery Barn and the best part, the material of these is completely durable, unlike some of the wicker products that are similar. As a side note, Ikea only received 5 sets last year and by May 1st, were sold out of everything for the season. They may get more in stock this year because of their popularity, BUT, we lucked out and were able to purchase the set-up model lounge at as-is prices which was the deal beyond deals!

Completely stole my thunder! I was gona post about something just like this...infact I had saved pictures of that ikea furniture as what I wanted to do yesterday. Beat me to the punch I guess.

However, my backyard furniture is probably the last thing I need to worry about at this point.

Jenny - You can have the chair that Wally pees on. :-)

Correction: Snooze you lose.

I don't want the grammar nazi's to issue a hit on me.

I saw that you are following some other renovation blogs. We are rehabbing a townhouse in Fells... www.gibbonshome@blogspot.com. I must say, I am very impressed by the rehab but, your Jersey Shore themed party might have been your best decision. Thanks for blogging!

Corey- You can sort of see the set-up in these pictures from when we stained our decks (http://twentyoneport.wordpress.com/2009/10/04/oh-is-your-husband-handy/). We're probably going to clean up the yard a little this weekend and enjoy the nice weather so I can take a few more pictures of the actual sectional and send them along if you want.

Sam/Lori- You're house is coming along! Great to see another renovation project!

Corey: There's no apostrophe for a plural noun. It should read "grammar nazis."

Target has a product line just like that! I have their storage bench and it's great. I chose it because of the great reviews it got online. A friend of mine just bought the entire patio set for her screened porch and the other pieces are nice, too. Unfortunately I am having trouble finding a link to it online (Target's website is frustrating) but it was available in stores.
